I think the ion cannon is a sure win. just 1 can overcome most of the enemy forces
however, you can with with 4 double guns (from the present age)

The super soldier isn't that bad. Save up 300000 and make two. Instant win. The enemy might kill one, but by then, you'll destroy thier base.

I did what I wanted. Made it in the top 50. (marked 45 with 80000ish). That's good enough for me. Good game. Very hard after a while.
